For overall use the TROY.

Long distance use the KAC 600m.

Lowest profile use the KAC 300m.

AK use the Mojo Micro-Click.

Edwin: what light and sling are you using on your AK? Do you use an optic? I'm debating between the PK AS V and the Millet DSM 1. For a rear sight I went with the Krebs peep. Russ

RTAB, you really need to look at this thread for your best option on a red dot sight for an AK.

I have a Znich tactical light for the AK, but it's not QD, and there are no CREE bulbs available for it yet. But it still does well at short to medium ranges.
My best current option is the Surefire Scout light with LU60 head and a Malkoff CREE module mounted to the PRI rail on the lower hand guard.
I use the same light on my AR SBR mounted the same way and have trained to activate it with my knuckle.

Thanks Edwin. I've seen it in expanded form over at the AK forum. I can't pony up the $ for the better sight. That's why I was thinking Russian or DSM 1 or GRSC's version of it.

Edwin....looks like you would need to remove your optics to deploy the BUIS on those very nice AR platforms ?

I like the plain LMT or the Troy with Aimpoint
or ACOG optic. I like to cowitness mount the BUIS.

Got to get me an AK love (I have a Krink only)

The AK is an Arsenal SA M-7 A1R.

With magnified optics you do need a flip up BUIS, as there is no ability to co-witness them.
Even with my Aimpoint equipped AR I prefer the irons folded down.
