Well I'm thinking on giving the slide on my P7 a coat of Duracoat, good or bad idea, my slide has that purplish hue to it, so I thought it might not be a bad idea along with the increased protection.

Probebly get more traffic in the P7 area.
I would leave it as is and just keep it lubed.
If you want to duracoat it and its an Surplus import PSP go right ahead. If its any other P7 I would not do that.

Have many Les Baers,all turn plum in a year, Les is great gun but is a little slack on his bluing, lube it and try and live with it.
