The slide should remain open after the last shot unless you release and re-squeeze. drink

Sometimes I overgrip and then release from flinching, but only when my head is up my ass. After removing head from ass, I relax and the problem goes away.

Note: Gold Dots or a weak recoil spring make it worse.

Hey no one ever answered this question [below]. When dryfiring, I still feel something pressing back on my hand that is gripping the safety as I squeeze the trigger while keeping the safety squeezed.

That's normal. Bruce Gray explain that to me once, but I forgot the reason why it does it. If I sat down and play with my P7 for a while, I can probably come up with the reason.
