Did you send Dave your P7M8? I want one of these holsters, but I'm not willing to send my P7 since it's my only gun.

He sent me an email last week that he "should be making it soon", as he'll apparently have access to someone else's P7M8. I didn't send him mine. I'll be sure to post a review when I do receive it.

Nah.
I email him at the end of each month, but he's notoriously bad about replying. Last answer I got, a couple weeks ago, was "I think I'll have one (a P7 to form the holster around) soon", so I just keep waiting. He's a one-man shop, so there's not much to do but wait. I'm also waiting for another Glock 30 Braveheart from him.

Sawbones: Dave just emailed me back and said that my order came a week late. He said he returned the P7 to it's owner. I don't know if he meant my email that I sent him last week, or if he's referring to the one I sent him back in February. Did you get an email? Damnit I'm never going to get this holster. I don't want to spend $30 to send my P7 to him!

Great now he says he doesn't accept guns because he doesn't have an FFL. He said he'll try and get a P7 again. Sawbones, which cant did you get (straight drop, butt forward, or muzzle forward)?

For that kind of money, why not a nice delfatti isp-3....nothing like a nice piece of leather...

I ordered the Braveheart for the P7M8 in muzzle-back ("FBI cant") design.
Dave Elderton hasn't answered any of my emails since early March. I sure hope he made my Braveheart if he had his hands on a a P7 recently!

Basically, at this point I'm just waiting to see if it turns up someday. I suppose I'll have to call him long distance if he doesn't send me something or start communicating soon.
Nice enough guy, and he makes good holsters, but he's really bad about answering emails and really slow in filling orders. Too bad, 'cause there's no similar holster design in Kydex out there for the P7. Comp-Tac (www.comp-tac.com) makes a design called the Gurkha, which is obviously a copy of the Braveheart, but they don't offer it for the P7.
If I ever get the holster, I'll be sure to post about it. Best.

FBI Cant? I'm assuming that's butt forward.

Yup. Muzzle back = butt forward. At about a 15-20 degree angle, this has been referred to as "FBI cant".
I can never decide how to describe "cant" vs. "rake" without referring to the relative position of the butt or the muzzle, otherwise.

Dave has been very prompt in replying to emails today. He's emailed me back 4 times.

Well, he's paying no attention to me!
Are you using the kytac@aol.com address?
