Ok, so we've all been there. Had a gun, traded or sold it only to later wish you hadn't have done that.

Well I have gone through a few that I wish I had back, but one in particular that I would do just about anything to own again. It was proposed to me when I initially bought it, to have been one of only 5 ever made and I foolishly sold it off after less than a year of owning it. I very much want to find it.

I have my old handwritten receipt from the sale with the pistol's serial number. I did a lookup on the person's name that I sold it to, but the phone numbers associated with his name are outdated. Besides... how creepy would it have been to hear "Hey, remember me... I sold you a gun 10 years ago...."

So is there any way of tracking this pistol down by the serial number in hopes of making contact with the current owner?

I hope not!

Be Safe
We know exactly where one cow with mad-cow-disease is located among the millions and millions of cows in America but we haven't got a clue as to where thousands of illegal immigrants and terrorists are located. Maybe we should put the Department of Agriculture in charge of immigration

If there is only 5 of them, you probably don't need the serial number! Did you have a P7M7 or something...? toothless

Put an ad in the personals of a few papers...something like:

"I shot you ten years ago, we fell in love, you were one in a million, well, actually, 1 in 5, but I didn't appreciate what a rare find you were and I stupidly let you go..I know better now and want you back."

Do a google search on the persons name and keep your fingers crossed. If you are afraid to ask, let me ask for you. I'll say: A guy sold you a gun 10 years ago, we know it was you and we think that gun was used in the commission of a crime. Can you ship us the gun for testing? You are not a suspect but your cooperation is deeply appreciated.........This will help us clear up a old, old case.

What gun is it?

Have you thought of putting it's picture on the back of bottles of Hoppe's #9?
It takes all kinds, but it shouldn't.

did you removed the tracking chip or maybe the battery died from time. you can track the name thru the internet it will take time but can be done. If you have the clearance check all the credit card purchases with the name and then start to cross check, visit the person at his work place that might do it.

First of all,Bandit, let me say I find your avatar offensive, her butt isn't showing!
Second, if you want that firearm traced why don't you ask Dick Cheney to help you out.
Third, Mathew you just look younger for every time I see you.
