Chantilly model
(Previous owner said 50 rounds shot and from looks of the pistol that seems to be true.)

or

Trussville model
(Previous owner who said he bought it new and never shot it) and it looks unused.

One goes to the range and the other one stored for the grandson.

Both have boxes numbered to the gun with paperwork, warranty card, scraper, brush, etc.

Which one would you take to the range?

You're going to get varying opinions on this one.......If it were me, I'd put the Chantilly in the safe and shoot the Trussville.

M8s are getting good prices (not as dramatic as the P7s). The last year or so are virtually all completed gunbroker auction sales. You might want to think up a different bequest and use one, the other or both M8s for financing. I'm joking, of course, although I have a Chantilly I don't shoot and a Sterling that I do.

Heckler & Koch P7M8 4.13" Bbl Pistol in 9x19.
Blue Book of Gun Values (39th Edition) indicates between $1750 in 95% condition and $2250 in 100% condition for this gun. I have 373 recorded prices for this model gun from $525 to $3180 over a period of 15 Yrs 7 Mos ending May 6, 2019. The average price as of that date was $1469. No refurbs, no refinishes, regular sights. Adjusted to two magazines. All represented as 95% or better. No distinction for import location or engineering revision, if any, no special editions, no distinctions for box, papers, tools. Current or last MSRP is $1515. The last 18 prices I have for this model since 01/01/2019 range from $1555 to $3180 averaging $2443.

I only have a Chantilly but if I had another import I'd carry that one and use the Chanty sparingly but wouldn't make it a safe queen. They're made to be shot.
