As promised here are some photos of my Grade C, P7, just back from CCR. It is refinished with their Cera-Plate.

That looks very nice, Ecrevisse. CCR does fine work; I was very pleased with the slide that they did for me. For my 2nd P7 PSP, I decided to go with a hard chrome plating from Mahovsky's, mostly because it is only $155, but I also like the HC two-tone matte and brushed finish a little better. I will likely send the lower from my 1st PSP back to CCR for the Cera-Hide finish to match the slide. Again, your pistol looks super nice.

Worn, I saw a documentary last night on chrome plating and finishing. While electroless nickel such as CCR cera-plate is good, hard chrome is the best finish for protection and durability. Maybe my next refinish pistol will be done in hard chrome. I think you made an excellent choice and you will not be disappointed.

Cera-Plate is not a standard Electroless Nickel it is a composite plating process using EN and Boron Nitride for lubrication. It also offers better corrosion protection then that of Hard Chrome
